Arsenal to start US Tour against the toffees. Who will play, where to watch, kick off time?
Gabriel Jesus enjoyed a stunning debut last week in Germany.
Arsenal will look to continue their pre-season preparations with a good test against a fellow Premier League side against Everton. Arsenal enjoyed a chaotic first game back with a 5-3 win against Bundesliga 2 side Nurnberg, where Gabriel Jesus enjoyed a dream debut with two goals and which could of easily been a lot more. This will be Everton first pre-season with their last game being the 5-1 defeat to the Gunners on the last day of the Premier League season.
Where and when is the game and is it on TV?
The game is on Sunday the 17th of July with kick off at 12:00 A.M (UK Tine) with the coverage beginning on the Saturday evening. The Arsenal website is streaming every pre-season game with a match pass costing £5.99 for each game. There will be updates on my Twitter @TheArsenalWrap and on Arsenal official social media accounts for those who don't want to pay the money to watch the friendly game.
Thomas Partey and Andros Townsend in action last season.
The pre-season match will be played at the massive M&T Bank Stadium which holds 71000 people which is the home of the Baltimore Ravens and could be used a stadium for the 2026 World Cup.
Who will play?
Arsenal have named a massive squad for the US tour of 33 players for these three matches. The players include William Saliba who makes his long awaited return to Arsenal after a year and half away on loan at Marseille and Nice respectively. Everton manager Frank Lampard has named a squad of 32 which includes the likes of Dele Alli, Jordan Pickford and Antony Gordan.
Fabio Vieira will also hope to make his debut after missing out on the chance to last week due to his injury. Even players who are likely to leave Arsenal this summer like Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno and Pablo Mari all included in the squad aswell.
Reuell Walters is the only academy player in the US squad with Arteta surprisingly leaving out players like Charlie Patino, Lino Sousa and Salah-Eddie Oulad M'Hand who were all in the squad for Germany last week but have not been chosen to make the trip this week. It would be a great chance for the youngsters to be given the experience to train and travel with the first team however Arteta has decided to let them wait for the their chance.
