Arsenal breeze past Bournemouth and continue perfect start to the season.

Arsenal made easy work of newly promoted Bournemouth

Arsenal made it three wins from three from their opening three Premier League games for only the third time in the club's history with a comfortable 3-0 away win at newly promoted Bournemouth, the only two previous times being 03/04 and 04/05.

Arsenal came out the blocks with Arsenal captain  Martin Odegaard netting his first Arsenal brace in the first ten minutes, largely thanks to some great play from Gabriel Jesus in both goals. It could of easily been more in the first 45 minutes with Arsenal playing some scintillating stuff and the Cherries were struggling to get any sort of possession at all with Arsenal having 74% of the ball for the first 45.

The third goal eventually came from an unlikely scorer, while he scored in the wrong end last week, spurred on by his new chant William Saliba netted his first Arsenal goal in stunning fashion smashing the ball into the top corner from just inside the box on his weak foot. The finish was of a top class striker not someone who only previous senior team goal was for Nice nearly two years ago. Arsenal briefly increased their advantage when Gabriel Jesus dinked Mark Travers for a well deserved goal after a wonderful ball from Odegaard but VAR deemed his left toe a tad offside. Nketiah and Smith Rowe had chances aswell but three would have to do for Arsenal.

The win moves Arsenal to the top of the Premier League for now with Man City still to play their game this weekend, however Arsenal know they'll be at least second going into game week 4. It makes for a complete contrast to the start of last season where Arsenal were slumped to the bottom of the league with no points or goals after three games compared to now where Arsenal are top with three wins and nine goals after three games. There is overwhelming sense of positivity at the club at the moment and lets hope it can continue.

Player Ratings:

Aaron Ramsdale (7/10):

Aaron holds strong ties to Bournemouth however he couldn't of asked for an easier game to welcome him back. He could of got the newspaper out and he still would of kept a clean sheet.

Ben White (8/10)

I actually thought he had a bit of underrated game. Very little to do defensively however going forward did very well, great ball for the second goal. If he keeps it up Tomiyasu will struggle to force his way back into the side.

William Saliba (9/10) MOTM

I'm running out of words to describe the young Frenchman. Another outstanding performance where he didn't put a foot wrong making all 75 of his 75 passes, along with scoring an absolute screamer and finally getting his own chant which was sung endlessly throughout the game. Arsenal look like they have a gem on their hands and they need to protect him and tie him down to a new deal.

Gabriel (7/10):

Solid as usual, dealt with Kieffer Moore fairly easily.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (8/10):

Excellent once again and looking a superb pick up. Always so calm and composed on the ball and caused lots of problems throughout. Very clever player with his movements into midfield.

Thomas Partey (7/10):

Never really had anything to do, kept us ticking and playing. Like Ramsdale won't get an easier game this season.

Granit Xhaka (8/10):

Another great performance from Ilkay Gund.. I mean Granit Xhaka. You can see Arteta wants to make him that sort of player and it's working so far. Very solid and got an another assist to show for his attacking ventures. Seems to finally be winning the trust of the fans back as shown with the fans chanting his name towards the end.

Martin Odegaard (9/10):

Two goals in the opening ten was one way to silence the very few doubters. A great display from the skipper with the second goal being a wonderful finish. Was unlucky not to open his assist tally as well.

Bukayo Saka (6/10):

Another quiet game from Saka for his extremely high standards, he was slow to get going last season aswell. Give that a bit of time and the performances will come. However massive congratulations on making his 100th Premier League appearance at the age of 20.

Gabriel Martinelli (7/10):

Another solid game from Gabi, electric throughout, his shot led straight to the opening goal. Tried to get his goal a bit too hard in the second half but very good once again.

Gabriel Jesus (9/10)

Just outstanding once again, only thing missing was the goal. His touch, run and strength for the first goal was outstanding and you'll do better to see a better centre forward play all season. Not just goals does he add but so much more.
